I don’t think that Proton sells my data to advertisers or trains AI using my emails and documents. As of laws, unfortunately any service in any reputable country has to obey them. You can always buy a server in some banana republic and set up an email service there, but even then there are some risks.
Nukes in Palestine? Even Russia can’t use nukes safely in Ukraine due to the potential pollution of their own territory.
or a better alternative out there with a database of tabs as large as the two have

I don’t know if it’s good enough for your needs, but they have a 7-days trial, so you can check it out for free.
And a helicopter.
My Raspberry Pi is named ‘raspberrypi’. I’m very creative.
What does it really change? If you’re in legal troubles, the same request will come from your hosting or internet service provider.
Yeah, it’s not about privacy or anything like that. Which is why I don’t understand this decision at all. It’s not like they have to do anything besides public announcements on Facebook. What privacy are they trying to protect?
Or use their API, you can filter by timestamp here https://miniflux.app/docs/api.html#endpoint-get-entries or get counters here https://miniflux.app/docs/api.html#endpoint-counters
He’s speaking ‘bad’ of USA, and that’s where tribalism kicks in.
If only there weren’t trying to make YouTube less usable. Currently if I listen to podcasts on YT and take a break, in a few hours it can completely forget that I was watching it, it’ll be gone from my watch history. This is so frustrating with 2-3 hours long videos.
Nothing has changed since then it seems. I constantly read comments with similar sentiment towards rich people here.
I think if it was enough, we wouldn’t have viruses, as Microsoft Defender is enabled by default. I wouldn’t rely much trust on it.
And I explained why.
If I remember right, most polls show people are against sending weapons. This might be why Scholz is cautious about sending Tauruses. The Baltic states have warned for years that Russia is a threat, even before Ukraine was invaded in 2022. But others didn’t listen to them then, and many still don’t take them seriously. The truth is, Russia is doing better than Ukraine’s allies because people think the conflict won’t reach them, and they prefer not to support politicians who would sacrifice short-term benefits for long-term security.
Why multiple fronts? The current conflict may be frozen under “right” circumstances, Putin will have several years to resupply. It doesn’t matter if Ukrainian allies have more economical and technological power than Russia if people in places like Germany cry that Currywurst now costs 1 EUR more than 2 years ago, and just want this to be over.
People don’t use Facebook, hence you find them on other platforms. They may be thinking that if they don’t use it, then nobody does.
But you also have to consider where these people live. It might be “dying” there, while Facebook is getting new users in other markets. I remember watching a video about genocide in Myanmar and the role that Facebook played. Access to Facebook was free if I recall correctly, it was the internet for most people.
It’d be interesting to see data by country.
What overhead are you talking about? You don’t need a dozen of instances of a database. You can create one, with or without docker, and configure any service to use it. The idea of docker and docker compose is that you can easily start up the whole env. But you don’t have to.
Crazy prices for movies and software like Photoshop. I’m still subscribed to YT Music, but I have to pirate music as silly wars between labels and artists result in music being removed from streaming services from time to time. For the same reason I don’t want to buy movies online - we don’t own shit.
