They don’t want any outside voices in their echo chamber
Fleddit in June 2023. Was on kbin for a while but it’s been broken and janky lately, so I’m giving midwest.social a try now.

Make sure the LED bulbs you’re using are rated for use in enclosed fixtures. Heat is the #1 killer for them. My basement is equipped with a bunch of enclosed fixtures that had 3 bulbs each in them, and they kept killing LED bulbs because the trapped heat had nowhere to go. They were designed for incandescent bulbs that didn’t care about being hot.
Yeah, places with lots of sunshine are more likely to do stuff like this. I recently visited Tucson, AZ, and the amount of solar panel coverage all over the place was very impressive. Both rooftops and parking lots.
As a shit golfer - yes, a sleeve of golfballs is always welcome. I’ll lose them soon enough and always need more.
“Well well well, if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions…”
Kinda surprised the Russians have any to spare.
Just remember that what passes for ‘center right’ in Ireland would be seen as super leftist by American standards.
Jellyfin is excellent. You can always just download it and run it on whatever you’re running your existing setup on and give it a try. The server’s available for a bunch of platforms.
I have a regular-ass Amazon Fire TV stick 4k max that I use to play my Jellyfin content. It has native hardware support for h.265. I can’t remember the last time it needed a stream transcoded. Of course, it is encumbered with the Amazon ecosystem, but it was cheap.
I also have one of those $20 Walmart Android TV boxes. The UI is a little slow in it but it plays the same Jellyfin content just fine, and you can replace the stock launcher on it with whatever you want.
I left reddit last year during the API bullshit. 4chan is full of cancer, and Lemmy is pretty much the next biggest community that I could find. I’m also on a couple of smaller sites like Discuit and Tildes.
I have a large box of random cables, probably half of which are totally obsolete. Might need 'em someday.
I look forward to seeing this appear in a bodycam video soon.
It seems that most modern games aren’t made for people like me any more. I don’t care for multiplayer, and will not be buying any DLC or microtransaction shit. I just want a self-contained, high-quality single-player experience. There’s maybe a couple of games per year released that catch my interest now.
They’ve also made noises about the sale of Alaska to the United States by imperial Russia being illegal. Good luck with that, shitheads.
I just got the email about this today. My account had maybe 30k comment karma and 2k post karma. I deleted all of my stuff and haven’t been back to Reddit since last summer’s fiasco. Guess they’re not getting the uptake they expected on this bullshit, heh.
I’ve been working from home about 90% of the time since the pandemic lockdown era. I had a cheap office chair and had noticed my back starting to hurt after a few hours in it per day. I eventually wound up getting a Humanscale Freedom headrest chair, which has been awesome. These chairs are stupid expensive, but I bought mine used, and reeking of the previous owner’s perfume. It took months for the smell to completely go away, but I saved about $1,000 over buying one new, and it is otherwise in mint condition.
bet these shares come with no voting rights.
i have big clown feet and a small, cluttered house.
Irish here, have always worn shoes in the house. I moved to the US in my twenties and it seems to be about a 50/50 mix of shoes worn indoor or not. Personally, i’d be stubbing my toes all the time if I was only in socks.
Your post inspired me to pull my old PS3 Slim off the shelf and give it a shot. Fortunately it is one of the ones capable of custom firmware. I successfully jailbroke it and am now running custom firmware, next I just have to figure out how to do anything useful with it, lol.
