just me
i am aware, i used to have those. the technicality of what’s actually happening doesn’t change the discomfort of feeling and looking like an orifice of yours is bleeding
would you like to get fucked in an orifice that is currently bleeding?
there’s a bit more to it than the rule of thirds
there’s always a leading style, technique, or idea behind the process that happens before you take the photo. and that process can be explained, to a degree
oh various ones! what i pick always depends on the lighting conditions, if the subject is stationary or moving, and the vibe i want for the photo.
i definitely prefer single thought out takes rather than rapid fire 20 photos with hope that one of them is the one (i don’t shoot sports often). And overall i really like framing things with the foreground to give a feeling of depth to the photo. In post processing i focus on making the photos look like i remember them to have been, coloured by memory and all that, rather than try to recreate realism 1:1. i’m being kinda vague but my photos are mostly on my PC and i use lemmy on mobile so can’t point to anything more specific, and tbf, a lot of my best takes are just patience and or luck
above all though, i like experimenting with how i shoot or edit :)
thanks for asking <3
“oh wow your photography is so nice what camera do you use?”
._. photography is 80% skill and 20% gear and yet, i never get asked “what technique did you use?”, it’s always about the camera i use, as if this entry level DSLR is framing and shooting on its own
“Torture devices for neurodivergent people”
is it a fun fact that impacts nothing? i’ll accept it as fact immediately and without question
is it a fact that has some weight to it? i’ll probably double check and if i find a reliable source that also claims it to be fact i’ll accept it (if i’m reading about it from a reliable source i will accept it immediately)
is it a fact that contradicts my current beliefs/understanding of the world? i’ll do some research on it, check if there’s any recent articles like “that thing you thought was right? is not!”, and depending on the nature of the fact think about why it’s been debunked and how that changed my perception on the world
if they can’t do it on their own, and also assuming their aversion to introspection extends to psychologists too… well, if they ever express a desire to try psychadelics do encourage them. if there’s one thing that can force you to look in, it’s that. but let me reiterate - encourage them if they independently come up with the idea, don’t drug them (obviously), don’t push them towards it, make sure they are able to give informed consent to trying
if a poop hits the fan it can indeed create a large mess.
😭 thanks for testing that, Mythbusters, never would’ve known. what was that quote of theirs? the difference between screwing around and science is writing it down?
hmm, just because non-english subreddits are small doesn’t really tell us much here. Non-English speaking monolinguals are used to smaller communities (let’s ignore China and India for the sake of this thought experiment) simply because the number of the speakers of their language is smaller. So a subreddit of a smaller size wouldn’t be particularly surprising here
those folks often use the same social media platforms within their own linguistic bubbles. Not always, of course, you gave examples of websites used by specific language speakers, but i’m just pointing out how this might not be a universal fact for every language
new minecraft instance -> FOV 90
new browser -> remember open tabs when closing (and install adblock)
langauge -> English (i live in Poland so many devices come with polish as a default)
in games -> subtitles on
in tv shows -> subtitles off (unless the audio is poorly balanced with sfx)
i’ve also built muscle memory on my specific set up of Adobe apps, so if i were to use someone else’s photoshop i’d feel lost and confused
i ask them what happened to have things turn out like that
if they are the same person as me, and simply decided to pick the most hateful way forward each time a choice was presented to them - i’d probably turn around and try to never think of them again. Because at least for others i can understand how life could’ve pushed them towards the wrong path. But for myself i know that good choices were always an option, so my evil alternate self would have to consciously act out of spite and hate every time
wow that’s so shitty holy heck. i hope none of those websites are essential, or if they are that you find a free and working VNP
why? does reddit just assume any and all traffic from your country is VPN traffic?
an overt plug for the fediverse will be removed though, reddit is actively censoring anyone saying positive things about it
a few days ago i saw how r/redditalternatives has only “lemmy bad!” posts and i know for a fact folks here have been spreading the word about lemmy in a positive way so don’t blame yourself, reddit has been actively censoring any good thing said about lemmy or the fediverse in general
i looked marginally deeper into this and it’s apparently all the way to shadow bans :) link
there’s probably a way to monetise everything but with the numbers of Linux people (yes we know you use arch shush) and anti-capitalists, i think we’re safe?
i can bend my fingers the other way quite far, it always freaks people out a little when i do that
my feet get hot very easily, to the point where in the summer the only “shoes” i can wear is flip flops or sandals, anything more and i feel like they’re on fire in minutes
honestly depends on what you’d use it for
if games + small work - steamdeck
otherwise idk
o.o well, each to their own i guess. i used to have periods and if anyone as much as thought of touching me i’d recoil in disgust (the feeling was probably made worse by intense dysphoria tho)
