  • Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. Maybe you’re neurodivergent, maybe you’re not. The question I think that’s worth asking is “does it matter?” If it turned out that what you are going through happens to maybe 25% of the population (as I think is likely), will that change how you live your life?

I can understand feeling frustrated about being bad at things at first; I have the same issue. What partially worked for me is internalising that you’re going to be bad at something for a while before being good. It’s a tough lesson to learn and accept, but it’s important. Enjoy messing about. Go into things with the knowledge that you’re just practising and don’t put pressure on yourself to be good.

And fwiw, a lot of people fail driving tests on their first try. Don’t give up just because you failed once.

Feeling spikes of being overwhelmed, anxious about the future, feeling bad about ideological clashes with a friend and trying to shake off the bad bedrot habit I’ve picked up. So just the normal.

Still, over the last few months I’ve pushed myself to do things I’ve not done before. So that’s good.

… Also, my work has announced massive cuts, but not how it’s going to affect us. I should probably worry about that. :D

  • Solar panels are very fragile; the weight of a car driving over them every day would cause them to break really quickly, not too mention the layer of rubber and dirt that will accumulate on them. I imagine the cost of installing and replacing them is also much higher than laying down a regular road surfice.

If they wanted to invest heavily in solar panels, why wouldn’t they just either put them on top of the shop building itself, or build a lightweight roof over the parking lot and put them on that?

  • So I can definitely imagine amicable breakups where there is still sexual contact (e.g. you don’t get along living together, but you’re both fine being fwb).

But if the first time you’re thinking about it is when you’re drunk, that’s not be a good sign. Sleep on it, then tomorrow think about what you want the “relationship” to look like going forward. If they’re likely to feel the same way (as a person that lives inside your computer, I don’t know them), you can ask them with a clear head (and not in a flirty way). Just respect their answer and don’t be a creep if they say no.
