Hope you reach that goal soon. In the meantime, if you have a mobile device from at least the last decade, retro gaming using emulator apps like dolphin might be an option to hold you over. Most of my gaming has shifted to old PS2 titles and unofficial fan made APK ports onto Android, has my laptop gets too hot and loud to play off the desk.
