  • If I played a set against Serena there is a decent chance I get one point.

She will hit 12 aces/unreturnable serves and 12 return winners. That’s going to happen. But during that she could double fault or miss one return. She’s not going to be trying that hard, playing me definitely isn’t going to put her “in the zone.” And my serves will be so weak and pathetic compared to what she’s used to that she’ll have to generate more pace for those winners than she normally would. I like my chances of one going long or wide.

Now, if the question is “could you hit a winner against Serena,” lol fuck no.

  • I don’t know what these are made of, but rarely using them might make this more likely. A lot of PU will degrade like this if it just sits around but will last a long time if used regularly.

If you’ve ever had a pair of shoes with a PU sole that sat in the closet for a year or two and when you went to get them the sole was all gummy and/or crumbly, but you had a pair from the same company that you wore regularly that lasted years, you’ve experienced this.

  • My understanding of fetishizing is that it has little to nothing to do with physical characteristics, but is instead determined by stereotyping.

Saying you have a preference, even a strong preference, for physical traits that are more often, or even exclusively, found in a certain group is simply what you’re attracted to. Saying you prefer partners from “X” group because (insert list of stereotypes) is fetishizing.

For one example, consider the language that incels and people looking for “trad” partners use. They talk about preferring certain ethnic groups because they think all women from those groups are submissive, more feminine, adhere to traditional gender roles, etc., that’s fetishizing.

  • What the fuck has been happening with these people? They used to just be weirdos that thought they could drive (travel) without a licence and didn’t think they had to comply with a bunch of laws, but mostly administrative stuff. When did they morph into a group that’s all about stealing stuff with magic paperwork?

I used to see them as a bunch of goofs that were mostly harmless, aside from things like driving without insurance. Now they’re just a bunch of thieves trying to get over on anyone and everyone.
