In Classical Latin, datum is pronounced as [ˈd̪ät̪ʊ̃ˑ] “dah-too(m)” and likewise data as [ˈd̪äːt̪ä] [ˈd̪ät̪ä] “dah-tah.” Not that Latin should really have a say in how we speak English anyhow. linkfedilink
