  • The rearview mirror (the one that hangs off the windshield) is for seeing directly behind you. Your side mirrors are for seeing things to the right and left of you. If the driver directly behind you can see your face in your side mirrors, or you can see their front windshield, and your rearview mirror both exists and is unobstructed, then you are driving around unreasonably blind to vehicles overtaking you. This blind spot can be almost completely eliminated.

The side mirrors should be positioned thus that you have a clear view of the lanes next to you, with the door handle or body of the vehicle just slightly out of view. You can lean and tilt your head if for some reason you prefer a view of what’s going on behind you that is half obstructed by the vehicle you are currently driving.

The goal is to maximize the area covered by the mirrors so you can see more things, not to have redundant views of the same thing.

  • Aliexpress will usually display the lowest price out of all the options under a listing. It’ll show the wrong picture for it though. So, say you’re searching for a 32oz pitcher and there’s a listing with options that go from 64oz down to 8oz. It’ll display the picture for the one you’re searching for but since the price for the smaller one is lower, it’ll show you that price to get you to click. Or if you’re looking for a mop with a bucket but the listing also has replacement pads under it for the mop, you can get the picture of the mop with the price for the pads. The prices for the individual options stays firm though (within reason, let’s say a single day of browsing).

  • McDonald’s profit margin–as a percentage of cost–remained steady

It’s cute you think a publicly traded company would allow for that, especially for a leader in a market as fully saturated as fast-food. When you’ve reached every person, there’s not much left to do but increase profit margins by cutting costs and raising prices.

If that line stops going up, executives can be voted out by the shareholders and lose their generous pay packages and bonuses! Last year’s billions in profit just isn’t good enough when there’s quarterly earnings reports to be made and shareholder wealth to be maximized!
