That’s still super low cost compared to all the regular repairs a combustion engine needs, especially when you consider that combustion cars also need tire replacements, just a bit less often

I got lucky that an american friend who brought a Thinkpad from the states gifted that to me. But in general it’s not a bad option to buy used thinkpads and just replacing the keyboard. Still a bit more expensive than if that was a common option, though, of course.
ANSI QWERTY TKL. Despite living in Germany, where we usually use ISO. I got used to it when I spent a year in the states and realized how useful it is for writing code. Now I have the differences to the German layout memorized pretty well so I just switch in software whenever I need German characters like ä or ß.
I wanted to write pretty much what you did, but you did so perfectly already.
Generational trauma is a bitch.
I’ve heard from several women that veiny forearms are sexy, and I am inclined to agree despite being a hetero male lol
For when I have to take a piss I like to say “I’ll have to take a trip to the drinks return”
Works a bit better in German because of our bottle return system
Luckily enough I was totally fine. Just a bit shaken up from the shock. No pun intended lol
I was playing around with electronics from the trash with my brother. We found a lamp with what we figured was a broken fuse. To test this theory, we wanted to take the fuse out of the system. So what do we do? I hold the cables together using two pliers. Our theory was right. But I ended up slightly shifting the wires so they weren’t in contact anymore. Suddenly 240v were traveling through my arms and my muscles tensed, causing me to grab the pliers really tightly, unable to let them go. My brother saved my life by being smart and cool headed enough to just unplug the lamp after 2-3 seconds. I dont think I ever came closer to dying than that time.
There aren’t enough people who would actually stand up for themselves, and in particular , others, is what you actually mean
So, protestors?
I mean, I don’t usually make puree but in my experience it’s smooth and silky. I usually just get it at restaurants but from what I read online it’s better to avoid electric devices to prevent the potatoes from being overworked so they dont release too much protein, which can cause them to become gluey. But when done right, with a good emulsion of fats like butter and cream it’s not supposed to be like that.
Here in Germany we can also just smoke in public areas. There are some rules about it but no one really cares anyways (except the idiot politicians and cops in Bavaria)
Potato puree isn’t the same as mashed potatoes. Dont get me wrong, I actually prefer mashed potatoes that are a bit more chunky and with the skin, but potato puree is supposed to have a smooth texture without any chunks. Usually people use devices like a potato ricer to make puree, which would get clogged up with the skins
That’s pretty creepy. I had computer voices asking me whether I agree to being recorded for training purposes when calling customer support and the likes. But never during a private call.
Maybe contact/write to your provider or something?
In places where glass is reused, it’s definitely the best option. It’s heavier so it has a higher co2 output during transport but glass bottles can be reused up to 50 times, saving co2 in the long run.
But I have to concede, in america aluminum is probably the best option.
This is such a non-argument. Of course a business needs to take care of its expenses to survive, and then some. The question is how to appropriately distribute the budget for worker’s pay.
No CEO can work 300x as hard as the other workers.
That sounds really nice! May I ask what you did?
Why do so many people hate cottage cheese? I love the texture and it tastes pretty bland, so you can just add some herbal salt and pepper to make it pretty tasty
But isn’t Dane a noun? I thought the adjective was danish.
Funnily enough I heard mechanic friends say that EVs need the brake rotors replaced more often than combustion cars, because the EVs use the brakes so infrequently that the rotor just rusts so badly it needs replacing.
