I’m not a chip guy, but I bought a family sized bag of cheddar lays poppables for a long train ride a few months ago, and damn near ate the whole thing by myself. Haven’t bought another for fear of doing it again. Also the bag was like $4!

Banana milk! 1 ripe banana, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup water, 1 tbsp maple syrup, a few drops of vanilla extract, blend and pour through a sieve over ice. So refreshing and very cheap.
Spotify is much better for music discovery / public playlists. I use Apple Music because it’s cheaper with the family plan, but if I’m wanting new music I will often open up Spotify just to view the playlists there and add the songs I like to my Apple Music playlists.
DTRH is one of my favorite channels, I love almost everything that he has made. I think my favorite of his (aside from WingsOfRedemption of course) was about Henry Darger, tragic and hopeful at the same time.
A family friend’s pitbull chewed the ear off of someone’s toddler because it wanted to play with him. The best way to deal with a dangerous dog you don’t own is to ignore it and have the owners deal with it. The last thing you want is the dog liking you more than its owners, spending more time in your yard, then deciding to ‘play’ with the ducks.
Can confirm that Jos A Bank is still around near me
Paying rent instead of a mortgage.
I think this comment sums up why a lot of studios don’t avoid spoiling major plot points in trailers. It’s very easy to advertise a movie as something it isn’t (or just the opening third), and miss the core audience that will actually leave good reviews on it, convincing others to go.
A movie that did a great job of getting across what it was in the trailer, but still throwing a massive curveball, was Barbarian, which I really appreciate it for. Almost every plot point was subversive, though partially because it was such a strange film.
This is the crazy part to me. It’s not completely unreasonable to want to live on your own terms, but to demand that and then beg the U.S Treasury Department for free shit just seems antithetical to their whole schtick.
I use Copilot fully integrated with Office 365 in my work, and was one of the beta testers back in November. Anecdotally, it’s no better than any other LLM, and I have found hallucinates significantly more than ChatGPT. The Office integration is useful and I do use it more than any other AI tool for its convenience being ‘inside’ of Excel / Outlook etc, but you aren’t missing much by not having it.
lemmy.blahaj.zone sounds like a good fit for you. It’s an instance predominately set up as a refuge for trans people, but accepts anyone respectful. The admins defederate from anything offensive which keeps it a safe place for people who need it. I’m not trans but basically signed up here because I feel the same as you, I come here to unwind before bed and want to avoid inflammatory shit. It’s a great little community.
I rarely see leeks, and when I do, they’re extremely expensive. Such a versatile vegetable that I wish more Americans knew about!
