I watched The Wire way too late in life. I watched it last year and my wife couldn’t get into it because of the old technology, but fuuuuuck was it good.

And then once you finish it, you can watch Breaking Bad again. Then El Camino. Then loop back around the Better Call Saul again. And once you’re done, you can watch Breaking Bad again…

The thing that’s so great about Mr. Robot is that it ends perfectly. You can tell the show writers decided exactly what story they wanted to tell and then executed on that plan. They didn’t just meander about and eventually land on a half-assed ending once the show’s budget dried up.

I went back to Voyager, which is a shame because I really like Sync and pay for the premium version. But yeah, it’s completely unusable right now.

I wonder if they censor mentions of Lemmy or if all the people that left for Lemmy are gone and no one noticed. Like, why are people still there and putting up with more of Spez’s bullshit? Do they not know they can just leave?

Stephen King’s IT was broadcast on network TV during primetime. I remember being excited to gather around the TV to watch a movie and oooooh boy was not prepared. I don’t think my parents let me finish.

I saw this in my 20s as well, somehow never having heard a thing about it. I thought it was gonna be a standard sci-fi movie. Boy was I surprised.

Also, I’ve heard about that lost footage that they filmed but never released. Shit sounds wild.

I was trying to explain this to my kids - about the mental aging part. Mentally, I don’t feel any different than I did 25 years ago. I don’t even know what mentally aging would feel like, other than dementia or something like you mentioned.

Q3 2026 will come around and the AI will report that revenues are down. The CEO will respond the only way they know, by ordering that costs be cut by laying off employees. The AI will report there is no one left to lay off but the CEO.
