I’ve been doing this for at least a decade now and the drives are just as reliable as if you bought them normally. The only downside is having to block one of the pins on the SATA connector with kapton tape for it to work.

I like the workflow of having a DNS record on my network for *.mydomain.com pointing to Nginx Proxy Manager, and just needing to plug in a subdomain, IP, and port whenever I spin up something new for super easy SSL. All you need is one let’s encrypt wildcard cert for your domain and you’re all set.
Visual discomfort because it looks like an slightly older app? What kind of issue is that???
You’ve met an iOS user.
I mean that’s not inherently bad, what you do with that data could be though.
Why did you feel the need to come into this thread and broadcast your opinion on something you know nothing about? Encryption is not made any less effective just because people made free tools to implement it easily.
It’s just math. It’s not a finite resource, and there isn’t “premium math” you have to go buy at the math store to make your encryption stronger.
By running NPM in an unprivileged LXC without docker or podman. I’m surprised to hear that’s been an issue with podman for so long though.
I don’t know that fancy refrigerated cat food would be a good option for the apocalypse, myself.
All you have to do to avoid this is just not open any ports except one for something like wireguard, and only access your network using it externally, and you will never have this problem.
Just switched after years of Sync use and I doubt I’ll be switching back. Thanks for the recommendation!
I guess I’m extremely paranoid then, my home IP doesn’t change much and I just expose the port only to it from Oracle’s site. I rarely touch mine though.
Have you tried mapping it to a different port?
Well if I had to pick one I’d probably side with the children being genocided by an ethnostate.
The game and the engine are both open source. The game’s assets just aren’t freely available, so you still need an official WAD or an asset replacement pack like Freedoom.
Like they’ve already been doing the whole time?
There’s no way going open source has done anything but help Doom. I guarantee they’ve made more money from people buying their old games for the WADs to play with source ports and mods than they’ve lost money to things like Freedoom.
If you don’t understand how a country self-reporting a statistic like that is unreliable then you’re right, there is no discussion to be had. It would be a waste of anyone’s time (including the time it just took me to write this comment).
You don’t know what could possibly cause people to have an anti-Israel bias other than antisemitism? Maybe a history book?
Imagine thinking the Middle East, a “tiny region” which also just so happens to be where more than half of all oil used on Earth comes from, is irrelevant to the discussion of climate change.
You probably wouldn’t be so angry if you weren’t having to bend over backwards to make nonsensical arguments like this to defend your nonsensical opinions.

I use Nextcloud with Nginx Proxy Manager and just use NPM to handle the reverse proxy, nothing in Nextcloud other than adding the domain to the config so it’s trusted.
I use Plex instead of Jellyfin, but I stream it through NPM with no issues. I can’t speak to the tunnel though, I prefer a simple wireguard tunnel for anything external so I’ve never tried it.
Edit: unless that’s what you mean by tunnel, I was assuming you meant traefik or tailscale or one of the other solutions I see posted more often, but I think one or both of those use wireguard under the hood.
