So, yeah, this does make sense. If some “lesser being” shows strong intelegence, it makes sense that a “higher being” would just do whats asked of them for the story or just rewarding them for being smart.

It’s also a disproportionate response. “British people talk funny” gets “American school children are regularly shot at school, lol tragedy”.

That is a definition people use when discussing libre software. The software is under YOUR control. If adobe says “fuck you, you don’t get the brush tool anymore” thats it for the brush tool. If gimp gets rid of a feature in the main branch, you can say “no fuck you I like this tool” and can just keep the code base that included it still.

Also you have a rather perscriptive understanding of language, which just simply isn’t how language works. Languages evolve over time. Open up a dictionary and see how many definitions are listed as antiquated. Those are definitions that aren’t used anymore as they fell out of favor.

And? You don’t know me, my mom, or our relationship. This could have been a situation where my mom is a narcisistic horrible person, or it could have been a situation where my mom and I are giving each other a hard time and cracking jokes. Both of these make my response perfectly reasonable.

If you must know this was all in good fun. She thought my joke was funny. I frequently talk to her like this and she laughs. Litterally half an hour later she was so thankful I was such a great kid to raise among other things.

I just had a conversation with my mom where she brought up the spoon thing when I complained I’m just here free IT guy. I told her “yeah, but i fucking learned. That either means I’m way smarter than you or you’re just an old dog that can’t learn new tricks”.

I had to stop listening to ICHH it gave me way too much anxiety and was just too stressed back when i listened in 2020. I’ve since taken up to instead listen to BTB and cool people who did cool stuff off the same network. Monsters that are usually dead and people who kick ass make me feel better.
