God I wish I had symmetrical upload. Gigabit down and like, 125mbps up.
Not so much for this but I self host stuff like my photos and I notice it’s slower when scrolling my photos outside the house. And using my personal VPN, makes my download limited to my upload speed.
My most uploaded file is a copy of Shrek 2 with Latin American Spanish dub, it took me over a month to download. I swear to God the only one seeding it was someone who would just open their client, download whatever they were looking for, then shut it off. It’s the only copy of that dub I could find in decent quality. Now I’m at ~50 ratio for that file.
If you can only find 0 seed torrents just chuck it in your client anyway, I’ve had several actually complete.
Duh, they knocked his teeth out to make him look British for the movie 🙄
I’d watch it
Ooooh and the sequel starring toy story characters in the jar
Immich (Photo backup), Vaultwarden (FOSS Biwarden server for passwords)
A dozen a year is just misinformation - that’s only in the wild,
That’s likely true, but I also have serious doubts that a chicken completely untouched by human breeding would output like the breeds bred to lay even if given unlimited food. I also doubt their bodies are made for such production.
I mean maybe eggs, if allowed to roam and given their shells back. But modern chickens are just absolutely genetically ravaged by centuries of breeding for absurd egg output and massive growth.
Before domestication they’d lay about a dozen a year. Now they lay once a day or so.
I mean snow’s only a factor in some places
the CIA already knows what road signs look like in different countries, or where certain mountains and other features are.
I mean “the CIA” isn’t a person. Someone there does this work. Which is what we’re talking about.
not for commerce

Uhhhh
7.09 global but I do have a few files with over a 30 ratio
With a traditional download, examplesite.com sends a file to your computer, that’s it.
With torrents, instead of that you download little pieces of the file from many different computers. Sometimes hundreds of different computers. Then once you’ve downloaded the file you can then start sharing pieces to other people downloading. The more people doing this, the faster the downloads will be for everyone else and the less strain it will put on each computer’s Internet connection.
Also if not many people are seeding, there’s a danger that the file will have 0 seeders and nobody can download it at all.
This is also why torrenting is good for privacy. Shutting down one website isn’t so hard. Shutting down hundreds of random personally owned computers is very hard.
A five gallon BiB of coke syrup is like $100 (maybe less if you purchase at volume like KFC’s parent company surely does.
That can make ~120 large size drinks.
That’s 83¢ per drink in syrup.
A quick look seems like I could get 1000 Styrofoam cups and lids for $120ish (straws are so cheap as to not even need to be included, 0.006¢ per drink) so about 12¢ per drink.
So about 95¢ in supplies, plus maintenance for the machines, CO2, cleaning labor costs… Around $1-$1.10?
But even that sounds high I bet companies like YUM inc get most of these supplies way cheaper than I was looking on restaurant supply sites by buying in huge bulk amounts.
You using the coupon means that they successfully enticed you to return. And most people will buy things on top of whatever the coupon is good for so they still turn a profit
Sigh…
I’ll look into it. Thanks for pointing them out.
Edit: I’ve banned some obvious ones. I’ll have to look into it more when I get home.
Because of the lack of barrel. But in this case the gun was loaded so it should come out full force
I think you’ve won, great work!
