I wouldn’t even call what they’re eating in Europe “tacos”.
Well we would. Stop gatekeeping!

Exactly. The US isn’t even close to the top. Source: https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/coffee-consumption-by-country
Anyone know the color codes for the original vote colors? I tried color picking from the (old) logo, but that doesn’t look correct.
Edit: I’m dumb. The swatches are right there.
Inverted vote colors don’t even make sense! Up is uncreasing temperature i.e. warmer color.
Ah, so this is what it is! I was wondering why the colors were wrong. Why must every new platform change it?! At least I can change it back.
Correcting myself here. AntennaPod does have silence trimming, but it’s neither a player button nor in settings, but in a …-menu at the top of the player, which made it a bit hard to find (Same can be said about some settings in Pocket Casts.) and there’s no graduation, so it’s mad max only, from how it sounds.
I would think podcasts without RSS is a tiny minority, and I wouldn’t take them seriously. And I’ve never even heard of ivoox.
You made me check. Since August 2018, I’ve cut about 1d using variable speed, and 1.5d using silence trimming. I’m only using mild at the moment, and have used medium before, but mad max was too much for my taste. But since I’ve listened for 83d, silence trimming is a <2% saving for me, so it might not mean much.
Edit: I do use it extensively specifically when catching up on the backlog of a podcast. So it probably accounts for way more during those times.
Ooh. Nice! I hadn’t heard of AntennaPod before. It seems to have everything that I use in Pocket Casts except for trim silence. I will try it out for a while and see if I miss that. I do use it and it saves a lot of time. Still though, OSS is a big draw.
Edit: It also doesn’t open the queue or start playing automatically in Android Auto.
Consuming podcadts through Spotify is a wild concept.
I’m willing to bet that thise people didn’t know anything about AI until a few years ago and only see it as this latest wave.
I did AI courses in college 25 years ago, and there were all kinds of algorithms. Neural networks were one of them, but there were many others. And way before that, like others have said, it’s been used for simulated agents in games.
LLMs are AI. Lots of things are. They’re just not AGI.
Okay. Phew. I was hoping no one just ate everything without a rinse. But soap? Really?
You didn’t wash fruits and vegetables until Covid came?
Also just to transfer pictures to a laptop for editing and to clear space for taking more pics on the phone. I know cloud exists, but I want to control my own data.
people buy a new phone often enough nowadays that battery wear is not as much of an issue
battery wear is part of the reason people trash their otherwise working phones. People buying phones more often is a symptom of not having right to repair.
Also, buying an extra battery and charger meant you could carry a fully charged battery in your pocket and if you were out hiking or something, you could just swap batteries instead of needing a power bank and a whole bunch of charging time.
Was it Mob Rule? I didn’t play it enough to remember specifics, but it was from that era and had a distinct, blobby character design.
Bonuses should not be expected, or they’re not bonuses. I get that. But making them available only to those able to do some physical test is discrimination.
People who like it hot can buy peppers, and they’re pretty easy to grow too. However, not everyone likes it spicy. A lack of peppers doesn’t make it any less of a taco.
