Matamoros…
Matamoros…
There’s good weird and not-good weird.
You can find a used machine to practice with and start by fixing and altering.
Local indy sewing shops that I’ve encountered have been happy to advise and some have open sewing days.
I fix my outdoors gear and clothes routinely, often with hand-stitching, just takes practice.
They keep filtering the stupid people, but there’s always more.
I keep wondering what zuck has to do to be more obvious, but it seems like an infinite horizon to someone whe never signed up for any meta product.
Also, soft switches don’t really turn things off. Physical covers over cameras, mics, and speakers can’t be overridden.
While you’ve got the lid off the blender…
The rock at the top of Mt. Everest is marine limestone. It still has fossils embedded from when it was 20k feet under sea level.
I had to make an email filter just for airbnb, after requesting account closure several times.
Booking.com at least honored the 2nd or 3rd request.
If linkedin has an investor page, set a forward so their emails go to investor relations.
Priest clothing vs nun clothing isn’t enough for some people?
How about scout leaders, church youth group leaders, etc.?
There’s a possible self-selection.
Start every day by drinking 1-2 liters of room-temp water, then waiting an hour to eat.
Apropos of nothing, I’d like to see a mod done to the fediverse… Each user keeps their own info pod, and fedi sites can use that to populate profiles.
Migration is the largest hurdle in the fedi for users, instances change/shut down/federate with Meta without warning, etc.
Would be great to have one’s info on one’s own drives, go to other mastodon site that didn’t e.g. manipulate its users into being on Meta and just plug in.
Images could also be stored this way, so copyright and provenance is straightforward. When user moves, so does all that.
Then a lemmy, (x)bin, piefed instance becomes just a place to park and not a captive zoo.
I think that the fediverse should offer a compelling improvement over commercial SM,: For me self-custody and easy migration are the things.
And start it backward, slowly. You can feel the thread drop in. Then start to turn the right way.
Works with threads in plastic as well so the metal screw doesn’t make new ones.
Is there something wrong with Silence for SMS?
I agree with the comments about how Signal has treated its users, and that has fucked me, but they also are a lifeline for people in very unsafe situations.
I see a parallel to how Mozilla treated Firefox users under Baker, perhaps we need a Mull build for Signal.
Do any Android apps also have pinch to zoom? I like Eternity, nut frequently need to enlarge things, text size in screenshots, maps, etc.
My dad broke the cycle. Late in life he told me a story about myself.
We were in a park. I ran up and asked for something and he said no. I ran off and then came back, asking again but in some other way, this time he let ne do whatever it was.
His mother, a deeply religious schoolteacher, was sitting nearby, and after I ran off she criticized him for changing his mind, told him parents should never do that.
I think he told me that story for at least one reason.
Any person’s awareness can benefit others.
I haven’t been put on an rbl.
Find their sales email and set up an auto forward.
Too cute for me to put under a building. But you do you.
Moved classrooms, homes, offices, etc. up to 15’ wide on highways.
Theres the building, a metal frame under it with wheels that’s permanently attached, thats all I’ve seen. I’ve helped the install crew level and set them, helped yank old school rooms out between utility stuff that grew up around them for decades.
I’ve seen is very old ones that were set decades ago with the tires rotted to shreds with rats running out when it started to move, those needed replacing.
I carried a row of fresh wheels/tires and a lot of jacks in various heights on my toter, which got stocked every day because i used them up.
Maybe you’re talking about house trailers?
Go back to Reddit and be an expert, or show me obe of these dollies.
After they’re situated they’re leveled with screw jacks. Sometimes the tires are removed, but mostly not. Any extra step costs money.
But didn’t block any of the AI companies who stole from everyone.
