Right! I was wondering why it stopped working, it’s pretty useful.
“…could’ve made it but it’s cozy in the rut…”

There is no good way really.
Lemmy’s search is pretty lackluster. You will have a hard time finding what you are looking for, unless you are searching for something verbatim, and if your query contains common words…Good luck. It also has no search operators.
When it comes to search engines, only google is somewhat usable (from my experience), but it’s very much hit or miss. Sometimes you will be able to find the post, just by typing lemmy [post title or part of it]
, but it will almost never be in the top results.
And most of the time , first result is Reddit…
You can try using https://fedi-search.com
It basically just uses this query for “more accurate search” [search query] (intext:"modlog" & "instances" & "docs" & "code" & "join-lemmy")
And this one for normal search [search query] (site:lemmy.world OR site:lemmy.ml OR site:lemm.ee OR site:hexbear.net OR site:sh.itjust.works OR site:lemmy.dbzer0.com OR site:feddit.de OR site:kbin.social OR site:mastodon.social OR site:mastodon.cloud OR site:mstdn.social OR site:mastodon.online OR site:mastodon.world OR site:libre.video OR site:video.antopie.org)
Which is not just for lemmy, as you can see
Here is the search query I made for the top 35 lemmy instances (by active users) based on this: https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/list
[your search query] (site:lemmy.world OR site:lemm.ee OR site:sh.itjust.works OR site:lemmy.ml OR site:hexbear.net OR site:lemmy.ca OR site:programming.dev OR site:lemmy.dbzer0.com OR site:feddit.org OR site:lemmy.blahaj.zone OR site:discuss.tchncs.de OR site:lemmygrad.ml OR site:sopuli.xyz OR site:lemmy.sdf.org OR site:lemmy.zip OR site:beehaw.org OR site:infosec.pub OR site:aussie.zone OR site:feddit.nl OR site:midwest.social OR site:feddit.uk OR site:slrpnk.net OR site:reddthat.com OR site:lemmy.one OR site:jlai.lu OR site:pawb.social OR site:lemmy.kya.moe OR site:lemmy.today OR site:startrek.website OR site:feddit.it OR site:mander.xyz OR site:ttrpg.network OR site:lemmings.world OR site:ani.social OR site:feddit.org)
In SearXNG u can use !lepo
to search lemmy posts but it’s basically just lemmy’s search.
Yes, butt:
I also saw a video of a monkey peeling it from the stem side and then proceeding to clean it of all those stringy bits before finally eating it.
Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIc5kTth1lE
It was hit or miss since 1337x started showing CF captcha thingie.
It works for me.
There is this site which has detailed status report, but to be honest I don’t really know how to interpret all of that haha.
There is currently some error though:
Moon is running on Quake engine.
This tutorial explains everything in detail.
Edit: I stupidly assumed you are using windows. But anywayys…if you are thats a good tut
You set the View Type to List.
Then u can further customize by going to Settings > View Type.

Yeah, I just tested it in Jerboa…I guess in some apps it just doesn’t work, probably depending on how the text box is implemented in the app or something, I’m not sure.
I didn’t have trouble with it so far because it has been working for all the apps that I use.
federation on my lemmy instance is broken, so this message will probably arrive very late
You can enable spell check underline even for keyboards that don’t have it, by changing which app it uses for spell checker specifically. In my case it’s under Android settings >> System >> Languages & input >> Spell checker (under the Tools category), It might be different on your phone, in that case I guess you can just search for “Spell checker” and then u can use Gboard for spell checking for example.
Florisboard is nice.
I’m not the OP, but Vivaldi has been my main browser for many years now.
The reason why some people like Vivaldi is the same reason why other people dislike it. It has a lot of additional features and customization options that other browsers don’t. You may find that cool (e.g., people who used old Opera), or you may dislike it, because “I just want a browser to open web pages.”
But anyways…here are some features that I really like and I miss in other browsers:
Those are just some of my favorites but there is a lot more…And almost all of these additional features you can disable selectively if you wish to do so.
Well you can always suggest the feature. But IMO, if you are blocking so many communities, isn’t it just better to do the opposite, and subscribe to ones that you like instead?
You could make a bug report in a separate post then.
But you literally can? Or am I crazy?
If you tap the kebab menu (three vertical dots) on the post, you will see a link to community, and on the right you will see another kebab menu. Tapping on it will give you the option to sub, block, favorite, etc.
This is how I use youtube with NewPipe while still taking the advantage of recommended page (algorithm).
A bit of a complicated setup, but it’s not that awful.
I use browser to open up the youtube front page (thus taking the advantage of the recommended page) Tap and hold on the video you want to watch and in the context menu, choose Share link and then choose to share it with Open link with, which will let you choose where you want to open up the video in, then choose NewPipe.
In chrome based browsers a shortcut will appear for the most used share link option you use, which will reduce one tap.
That’s kinda crazy, as it would look like a speck on the screen. I wish I could see the actual site, and see if there is something else sus about it. When I download important things like password managers, I usually try to be extra careful, double check the URL and do the hash check.
