I browse ‘all’ quite a bit, a few times a day, and I have had the same experience as you. I see more posts complaining about “.ml/tankies/etc” than I ever see problematic/whatever posts from them.

We also have a huge backlog of emotional baggage for men post the 1980’s. At some point we all accepted that men wouldn’t show any emotions except anger, rage, frustration, etc, and then kept doubling down on it. Now you have groups of young men fed directly into a pipeline of Facebook/Youtube/whatever platform that spoon feeds them fascist garbage. Why? Because it makes them tame and easier to control. You notice fascists aren’t out there killing rich people, they’re killing minorities? That’s by design, because the wealthy know they’re fucked if young men turn that rage against them, the real perpetrators of said poor people’s suffering.

The wealthy love fascism, it gives them everything they want. They don’t see the poor people below them as human, so it’s all just a giant menagerie to them so they can have their Line Go Up Faster than the other rich people.

I think I would need some kind of example of what we’re counting as ‘intelligence.’

Martha Wells Murderbot series is on book 8 (of the full length novels) and I love it more each time. I’ve read it through three times and still enjoy it each time.

I know it’s not 3 but if anything I find it more impressive.

Sorry, to be clear I got it for 275 CDN, which is roughly 200 USD.

But when it comes to the headrests I cannot find anything for under roughly that price. :/

The last time I found one it was 200 USD (which is basically what I paid for the entire chair).

I just want to say, I’m in my 40’s and most of my friends are late 30’s/early 40’s, and those chairs are starting to cause some of them some serious issues. If they’re the ones that have the ‘racing car’ style seats, where the left and right are forward of the back, that design is to combat G-forces while driving. When you’re stationary though, they can cause your shoulders to bend forward. Over a year or so, no big deal. Over 5-10, it starts to cause issues.

I highly recommend the Steelcase Leap (v2, is what I have).

However, you may need the headrest, and they are extremely expensive/hard to find, just a warning.

This is called Victim Blaming (the caps are for the concept, not the literal pairing of words) because it implies it’s the role of every minority to convince people not to oppress them, and not on the individual to not be a bigot. To see why this is the issue it is, replace ‘being gay’ with ‘being raped’ - is it, say, a woman’s ‘job’ to convince men not to rape them, or is it on men to know not to rape people?

I can’t think of a single example of this in reality. Phobia isn’t ‘just afraid’ in the context you’re using, it’s an irrational terror. People who are arachnophobic aren’t ‘just afraid’ they’re terrified of spiders. That is due to an inherent part of our past (as humans) that taught us spiders/snakes/etc were a danger and to avoid them, and for these people their brain changes ‘I should avoid that danger’ to ‘I should do literally anything to get away from that danger.’

There’s no precedent for ‘people of the same gender who love each other’ being a source of terror. Nothing in our collective past would cause that.
