If you want convenience, go for jellyfin/plex, radarr, sonarr, browlarr, usnet/torrent indexer and jellyseer.
Nothing is more convenient.

That is one of the reasons why I relay on usenent rather then on torrenting

Have you checked what is missing, sometimes people only pick the wanted files from a torrent, so maybe those 5% are just bloat nobody cared to seed as well.
Just get yourself a Domain and set up dynDNS or similar, which updates your DNS entry IP address, as soon as it changes.

3·2 months agoIf route all data through VPN and drop the unwanted packages in the firewall at home, you achieve this. But apple is a bitch and ignore VPN (and even DNS) for own domains.
Except, apple is bypassing VPN for their own tracking:

Or jellyseerr if you are using jellyfin (jellseerr with plex as well)
Additionally, you can set a push service (like a telegram bot) to send push notifications upon grabbing, downloaded etc. in *seerr
Many think streaming services went more expensive because of piracy ( less people paying for same content = content price needs to be higher, where I believe it is other way around (higher price for less content = more pirates).
The market of distribution of films and series is just fucked. The fight with competitors using exclusive content leads to worst way of distribution since company with exclusive content has monopoly of that content. Streaming services should not be the one owning the content but should be in competition with other distributors offering the same content.
I think the politics have forgotten that we need at least social capitalism if we not want to create cyberpunk dystopia.

Yea, I want a small linux PC with touch screen, and mobile Internet 🙃 sadly, there seem none to be around with enough battery and enough computing power and a good USB C with working PD and OTG (ideally a alt mode video protocol like hdmi/DP/thunderbolt as well)

Would be way more convenient if YouTube content (especially kids shows) were available in the usenet. It is way more easy for my kid to navigate plex than YouTube kids, but the exclusive content there is needed for my kid to socialise better, I think.
