“Trauma is part of life”? Murder and dieing is also part of life. Sorry, but that just doesn’t make sense. Trauma in a clinical sense is certainly not “part of life”.

There is no reason why rape is judged much less severely than torture though.

In the absolute majority of rape cases there is no bettering themselves happening because the rapists never face any consequences to begin with.

People pirate and then wonder why small developer studios for example go broke or software becomes more expensive or less plenty. It’s so dumb it hurts.

But most MGTOW don’t leave women alone. They lurk and comment in communities for women, they post under every article or post they find about women, they try to spread their misogyny whenever they have a chance.

When you are MGTOW, why do you care so much about what someone writes about dating? Why the need to be so angry about it? It doesn’t effect you, so why does it enrage you when women talk about their struggles with dating or life?

To understand this you have to know that at the time when “Jaws” came into cinema there were people leaving cinema during the film because they “couldn’t handle it”. There were even newspaper articles about how the movie allegedly traumatized people. The same goes for movies like “The Shining”.

When “The Exorcist” came out people were not prepared.

That is why it’s an amazing movie.

Horror movies are unfairly judged because most people who do not like horror movies watch them for the wrong reasons.

At least where I live as a millennial you could have had a really nice childhood - until you finished school. Most struggled to find a job. Businesses would hire you as unpaid intern at best, etc. All while your parents (the boomers) expected you to have house, car and family in your twenties.

Banning the burning or “desecration” of a specific genre of books because it rallies the feelings of highly religious people is pandering to the views of the religious extremists. That is my point.

People who are level headed about their religion won’t demand that a state forbids to burn a book. And they won’t get worked up by it to the point they think this is something that should be handled on a state level.
