Counterpoint: I would love to not be run over by a truck driver that decided that when redbull stops working a swig of whiskey will help him be awake after skipping the night sleep. You know how I know that I would love to not be in this situation? Because this exact situation happened to me and it sucks, even though I survived.
If anal probes is something that prevents heavy equipment operators from breaking the rules, so be it. I would prefer them not need that also.
I never ascribed you any motivations, nor do I care about yours specifically, nor did I try to preach any of my own.
Do you actually have something to say?
No, I just assume you aren’t eating humans. Because it’s the only way we can continue this conversation.
I don’t think it means what you think it means.
It is. You’re already doing it, otherwise you will be having zero problems with killing and eating random humans. You just put your line at believing that humans have agency, even though you just as much can’t prove that.
We have pretty good understanding of how biological organisms operate at this point. We don’t need to spend generations on disproving solipsism anymore.
you can’t prove that
I also can’t prove that you have one. It’s not a standard we operate under.
Nope, not even close. It’s not even the basis of Christianity, and we associate that one with this message the most (for some reasons). If there is a basis that all religions share, it’s that unwavering notion that the religion in question is the right one, and every other is heresy and should be eliminated.
Plants don’t have an agent that feels negative or positive feelings. Its stimulus-response system starts and stops at that. Animals on the other hand can experience suffering and pleasure, and and it’s morally wrong to inflict the first and deny the second
The only counterargument to it I can imagine is that in shit-backwards healthcare systems like US one, it will disincentivize bad doctors from saving your life. If you’re poor and your family can’t afford good lawyer, they don’t have a good reason to give 100% to save your life, when they can give it 80%, and then sell your organs for good profit.
It’s not an argument against compulsive organ donation, more of a one against shit healthcare systems, but still.
First, get a [removed by mod], make sure it’s [removed by mod], then [removed by mod] right in the [removed by mod]
What exists is a weird engineering experiment that runs some synthetic tests that are designed to return a number that you plot on a graph which you show your investors. And it costs all the money in the world and then some.
Not only there is no practical use for all that, there are debates about what the practical uses might even be in theory for something that nobody really sure is happening.
But if the flow is good enough, all the material will be sucked away before it has time to emit.
With proper ventilation you can do everything, you can work with hazardous gases and nuclear materials, if the ventilation is sufficient.
Nobody’s looking into space that nobody wants. And people don’t want space that can’t be easily accessed. Win win for you.
But if you’re determined to remain in US you can buy an acre of land in Alaska for like a thousand bucks, and then you can live there for as long as you want.
Can also make it way worse if there is a problem with the spine.
