i don’t like bamboo printers very much, just because of the closed ecosystem. the printers themselves are really good, besides being loud.
i would like to switch to a different CAD program, but i couldn’t figure out freecad for the life of me. fusion is still my go-to.
thangs is my primary hosting site, just because zack freedman started gridfinity on there. and at the time, thingiverse was almost unusable from my perspective. never really tried printables tho.

i have and ender 3 pro as well as an ender 3 max. after a PEI coated bed and a second cooling fan, the ender 3 pro curns out the best sub-300€ benchies you’ve ever seen.
a friend of mine has a 3V2, and it has all the mods i would’ve done to a 3 pre-done.
for budget printers like the ender series, it’s a skill issue most of the time. so teach newbies how to use cheap printers, of course it isn’t plug and play. you paid 200€ for it.
i’m really into cars, and want to own (maybe modify) an MR2 1st gen.
problem is: the german government is trying its best to make owning a car impossible or unattractive.
nowadays you have to pay 1.90€ a litre of gas and rent a parking space (the ones that used to be free get converted to charging stations for BEVs or are only for people who live near it)
getting a license has been increasing in cost for a while now, and we’re at the point where it’s up to 5000€ (i have one already, but it’s increasing the barrier of entry)
modifying the cars is also basically illegal, i won’t get into it here though. the comment is long enough.
additionally, the only political party that’s worth voting (in my opinion) is increasingly making cars the national enemy and is trying to introduce a speed limit on the autobahn.
so the frequent occurence is basically incompetent politicians fucking over the consumer, giving right-wingers even more fuel.

not an exact fit, but i think about that sentence often
i’m using it at my desk where i have one USB-DAC for my speakers and one for my headphones connected to my PC.
that means i have to switch my monitor from DP to HDMI every time i want to play a game (using samsung’s nipple tech), as well as either running my speakers through a splitter cable hooked up the wrong way to get PC and switch audio, or have the switch on my speakers while having the PC on headphones.
way too much hassle, plus i can lose my cursor on the right screen where the switch is, as well as having to blindly drag apps from there as they start. plus i completely miss incoming desktop messages.
and yes, i watch youtube while playing games. that’s why i need PC audio.
but then nintendo wouldn’t be able to shove tons of 6-7 year old hardware down our throats. (the 1st gen’s processor is even older)
i literally own a switch, but getting that fucking thing to work with my display/audio setup is a pain. just to get 1080p at 30fps.
no thanks, i’d rather play it at 1440p at a more stable framerate, with a controller of my choice, with the ability to load mods.
if it runs better, at a higher resolution, with the option of using a reliable controller, i will emulate it.

with sonic runners, they had to reverse engineer the whole server infrastructure. i’d say the chances of you patching out server checks without decompiling the entire game are low.

although monetization would be a difficult one, FOSS users aren’t fond of subscriptions. (at least that’s my impression)

at least manually identifying shows is easy in jellyfin.
filenames following the standards of library apps like jellyfin, plex, etc.
i don’t want every file to be named “[ASDF]some.shitty.show.S3E7.MULTI(360p h264 7.1 dual audio).mkv”
jellyfin can’t identify most of these, and the relevant information can be found out easily by tapping properties (in windows, anyway)
aren’t interviews possible? i’m not in any private trackers, but i heard some groups do interviews.
i’d have a chance at getting in, since my torrent box runs around the clock, and once i get a VPN running i’m not afraid to constantly upload at maybe 1/4 of my bandwidth.

maybe cleaning it will help. the difference between someone’s “i’m gonna haul shit” van and a drug dealer’s van is often just the amount of dirt and the straightness of the panels.
many parking spaces actually got converted to charging stations. and when building new parts of the city they could’ve taken the demand for parking into account.
i agree that there are too many cars in the cities, but actively taking away parking isn’t how you solve that problem. that just makes people hate your political party.
solving problems like this requires an actual alternative that is as comfortable as a car to use. then people will willingly give up their cars because there is no need.
