  • I definitely feel that… last week I was asked a question by a client regarding our status as a “local business”. I had no idea, and so I asked my coworker, who tried to look into it a little online, and came to the conclusion we probably weren’t one. So i told them we weren’t, and they were like “That’s strange, because when your company filed the original paperwork you said you were”. Weird of them to ask when they already knew the answer, right?

Well the real kicker is my office manager was CC’d on all of these emails, and after all this, I decided to ask her if she knew if we were considered a local business. She just said “yes, we are”. All I could think of was “Well why didn’t you chime in and say that at the beginning? Did I seriously have to specifically ask you to respond?!”

I didn’t actually say that, but I really wanted to…

  • It sometimes feels like this. At work i keep trying to let people help, and every time I do it comes back to bite me in the ass. I don’t WANT to micromanage, but they don’t give enough of a shit or miss things if I don’t basically direct them step by step and constantly followup. It’s exhausting… I miss working with reliable people.

  • What I don’t get is how there seem to be only a few remaining food types that people of certain ethnicities can’t tolerate. Like, some people can’t tolerate cow milk, some can’t tolerate wheat, because they didn’t have those things thousands of years ago. But like, most of the planet didn’t have most of the types of food available now until relatively recently, so why don’t you hear of more people being allergic to tomatoes, potatoes, mustard, etc?
