Yes. It’s the only thing keeping me sane at this point
Don’t ask me what my name means
Yes. It’s the only thing keeping me sane at this point
Key word is “when” because currently they are throwing blows with Iran. But to answer your question, probably never as we would need a near apocalyptic event to tumble our current power structure everywhere to allow us to hold them accountable.
Case in point
Any clothing brand that is just expensive for most individuals to buy (ie. Gucci, Michael Kors, Lui Vutton, and others). These are all made incredibly cheap and flimsy, and you are just paying for the brand. Most of the wealthy will either buy the same brand but from their exclusive collection (not available to commoners) that are actually well made and durable, or will buy other brands (ie. John Lobb, Schaeffer’s, Frette) that actually last so long that they can be passed down if wanted. Lastly, when you see someone famous or wealthy appearing on the spotlight with something you can buy at a store (mostly super expensive like a Bellenciaga) they are lended to them for the publicity alone.
I just personally prefer to dress like Adam Sandler most of the time.
They weren’t the only ones back then by a long shot.
Army:
Chrysler TV-8 Nuclear-Powered Tank
Air Force:
The McDonnell XF-85 “Goblin”
Marines:
The Marine Corps’ Ultra Heavy-Lift Amphibious Connector (UHAC)
There are weirder ones but I think these are definitely up there.
Oh I know they are still harvesting our data, but that data is not openly shared so in that sense it’s more secure (Basically I misspoke). It used to be sold like tables of information, now they only sell access to advertise to those groups (more money)… You know what, fuck that logic. I’m talking out of my ass. Phones are more expensive because greed, pure and simple.
TV’s are actually cheaper not because the tech necessarily being more available (even though it should) but instead it’s because companies are harvesting your data on smart tv’s and selling it making more profit than they would make with just selling you a TV. On a separate but somewhat related note, has anyone else noticed smart phones becoming more expensive as they become more protective of the users privacy?
There was literally an article yesterday about towns and cities canceling their events due to fears of ICE raids.
Whiskey on the rocks, it’s the only thing I have left
Just started my retirement fund last year, so far I have lost only $4K but I was being very moderate in my investments.
From my point of view of life, it feels like the belief of “Do unto others as you would like others to do to you” is no longer something most people seem to believe in.
When you refer to becoming democratic, you mean like how it has been until a couple of years ago? Or, are you referring to China suddenly becoming Capitalist instead of Communist?
The thing with tailscale is that its just a VPN connection – from my understanding. Why not just self host your own VPN server?
Backups?
Yeah Good point. the storage is the most expensive part. I did find these SSDs at a good price and with high reviews on Amazon which would cost $356 for 4 before taxes (a little better that 480€, but not by much).
Edit: Another thought would be to use the sata hat on the pi and get some sort of adapter to work with the platter drives but that would just add in the complexity and would likely require a PC power supply for the drives which would also add costs.
Oh for sure, fuck those places. I rather order from a small mom & pop restaurant than from some corpo chain. I just mentioned Chili’s because OP sounded like convenience was important and ordering from an app and just going to pick up seems universally convinient. I rather cook for myself, but when I feel lazy I treat myself at a restaurant, but then again I’m not the audience this post is targeting
Honest question, have you tried other places that were not fast food (ie. Chilli’s) or cooking quick meals that didn’t work out for you? If so, what?
What part would be too expensive?
The movie is quite good to be honest.
