Wait she farts sideways? Like it comes out of her hip? That is news!
Gentle nerd freak of the pacific northwest. All nation states are vermin.
Wait she farts sideways? Like it comes out of her hip? That is news!
This sounds like a dopamine issue.
For me, I just accept it. I ride the wave of motivation whether it takes me to the epic gaming session I’d hoped for or a bunch of menial tasks and low impact internet comments.
Sometimes what I think I want to do isn’t what my body is going to end up doing, and that’s just how life be.
Save getting answers from the creators themselves
Is there a reason you’re not doing this? If I made income from you tube I’d want someone to draw my attention to this.
I’d think that a “hey, I noticed this weird thing, is that you delisting or is yt being shady?” type communication would be appreciated and help flesh out the picture.
Yeah I don’t think “being yourself” is a thing that anyone has to worry about. You can only ever be yourself.
As you point out, we’re social mammals. We always exist in a social context and the behaviors that benefit us are highly dependent on that context.
It’s also perfectly natural for our identities to change over time. We don’t “discover the real me” we adopt new identities that benefit us more. That’s just how being a human is.
Lol the right side at least looks like a human.
The left side looks like he was originally extruded in pieces and then had to be assembled with hobby glue.
Information should be a utility, like water, phone or electricity.
Ideally there should be publicly owned tier 1 ISP, but failing that there should be minimum standards of service provision like with other utilities.
Meh, you probably should.
Most of his students that we know of were vicious oligarchs who abolished democracy in Athens until they killed so many people that there was an uprising against them.
If he was around today, there’s a good chance he’d be part of the trump regime.
This is so accurate. Like priests, business types possess a specialist knowledge that misrepresents an entirely made up complexity as arcane truth that the plebs could never understand.
Like priests, their real job is social control in service of the powerful. The early mesopotamian temples have some of the earliest examples of accounting because they were largely for craft production and resource storage and management.
And just like every delusional ceo, they claim responsibility for anything good that happens and blame others for anything bad.
Choosing the source then the destination is the correct order. The money moves from X to Y, of course you should choose X first and then Y. Destination then source feels inherently wrong to me too
There’s an Andy Warhol print of a photograph of a body hanging out of the window a crashed ambulance.
This is great news considering that my boss is a dickhead.
I very much agree that copyright is a tool to protect the wealth of the rich.
But I think the idea of restricting access to knowledge in order to benefit a select few predates capitalism. The ancient Chinese state iron and salt monopoly is the first example that comes to mind, some Greek mystery cults probably count too, even if we don’t think of that knowledge as beneficial now.
I’d guess it’s a common feature of strongly elite-dominated societies, of which capitalism is just the current model.
There’s a metal identification tag that goes with the body the entire time it’s in the funeral home/crematorium, according to my partner who works at one. It gets taped to the outside of the urn.
That’s not foolproof though, the wrong ashes getting released to someone is rare but is usually easy to spot afterwards.
There’s no way for you to 100% guarantee that the ashes are your loved one, except that there’s no strong benefit to a crematorium doing that and heads would roll if they did.
There have been scandals where pets were cremated in bulk then the combined ashes divvied out, but not humans.
Your link is just to this post, but after searching I believe you’re talking about Lia Thomas. That’s a single example so not necessarily representative.
"FACT: Trans athletes do not have an unfair advantage in sports.”
"After one year of hormone therapy, trans women performed better in sports than cis women. After two years, their performance was largely equalized.”
“…finding that trans women athletes are at a relative disadvantage in many key physical areas relating to athletic ability… than their cisgender counterparts.”
Yep, the “fairness” argument is a transparent figleaf for intentional persecution.
My understanding is that there is absolutely no evidence that trans women have an advantage. Once hormone therapy has been going for a while performance shows no statistical difference from women assigned female at birth. I was listening to a report on the radio just yesterday.
Additionally the number of trans athletes is incredibly small.
I’ve heard that the greatest correlation with Olympic medal tally is the amount of state funding for sports and sport sciences. If we’re going to asterisk any records, it should probably be for everyone from wealthy countries.
As an Australian living in the northern hemisphere I avoid both christmas and anything that reminds me of home.
A fair point. I would guess closer to 10% than 1% or 100% also have a foreign language page. I’d guess between 1-10% of those english language pages are non-english speakers.
Oh! I never got that expression. But I’m a loud and proud type. With so much misery in the world it seems wrong not to revel in the joy of a good fart. Like throwing away dinner during a famine.
