Recent events with streaming services has really been the best argument for self hosting your own content
I do a lot of photography and I share it on my deviant art page.
Recent events with streaming services has really been the best argument for self hosting your own content
I don’t typically see it on here and when I do I report that shit
Facebook, Reddit, and YouTube? Every day, Facebook loves to tell me how it doesn’t violate their rules though.
Our profiles playing music and having their own effects that we can pick
With each day we’re getting closer and closer to classic Myspace
I had to look into it because once you mentioned that I was curious.
So the saying originated sometime before 1930 when it first appeared in print and likely in the 1800s. (Source)
And when I went to an inflation calculator the earliest date I could select was January of 1913. Which I couldn’t help but share the results of.
About $3.20.
So yeah, about a dime a dozen… 111 years ago lol.
USBs nowadays are a dime a dozen basically for 16GB sticks
They can literally be bought in 10 packs for less than $30.
If they don’t give one back nowadays so be it.
Back in the day it was a terrible loss though
Looking at their current 10 day forecast doesn’t look very pleasant either
The coldest 2 days are going to be 42C (about 107F) with lows close to 30C (about 86F)
When I looked (about 10am for them) it was about 37C (about 100F) with a 31% humidity.
It’s a fuckin disaster over there with multiple days predicting 45C as the high.
I’ve shucked a few drives in the past but when there was a big sale on hard drives awhile back I finished decking my NAS out with 8TB drives that weren’t shucked as they came out to be cheaper than the ones in enclosures at the time.
The main downside is warranty really and some of the drives from enclosures need to have the power blocked on one of the pins to work (can’t remember which sorry) due to the type of drive they are.
Not wanting to be filmed backstage at an event seems pretty normal IMO as backstage is where a lot of prep work happens. It probably not safe for untrained personnel and/or might reveal things that people don’t want on camera (like costume malfunctions that are being worked out)
Unfortunately sometimes war is unavoidable
I feel the same way
But in terms of international politics such accusations must be made carefully and with substantial evidence
I feel they could have had that evidence awhile ago but I’m hoping they took this long to make sure to get as many as possible correctly in the net of “Violating International Law”. For example substantial evidence that goes very high up the chain of command of the Israeli military.
For those not too good at unit conversions:
1 hectare is 10,000 sqft
1 hectare is also 2.47 acres
So the ice field is less than 20,000 sqft, less than 4.9 acres.
And the inherent threat to ones family if you resist
Propaganda is a hella of a thing
Cheap VPNs typically are cheap for a reason, and those reasons typically make them not worth the savings (like logging data and selling it)
Of course if your country doesn’t care then sail away brother and be sure to seed
My country unfortunately cares a lot so a VPN is mandatory for me
Barred from his lab for releasing extremely useful info that helped the world because he didn’t seek approval from the government before he released the info.
FFS that’s terrible
The dude is a hero for releasing as soon as he could so that more people could have access to the sequence and begin research on vaccines that much faster.
There can be no market that is both “free” and “fair”
For a market to be fair there needs to be constraints in the right places
In this case the lack of constraints sufficiently restricting the ability for companies to pressure (read as bribe) politicians to push for a lack of subsides for specific sectors of an industry
Enjoy the little moments
If the worst should happen (nuclear war) unless you live somewhere quite rural you would die incredibly quickly.
So rather than constantly worrying about if the world ends, enjoy the little moments and work on building a better world with the people around you. And hopefully with your small collective and other people doing the same we can steer the world into a less treacherous direction.
But if the label aims to mislead would you call it mislabeled?
That’s some good news
Keep up the good work!
My Mini Factory is primarily where I get mine (if you want a list of users I primarily buy mine)
Cults3D is another place but they’re a lot more hit and miss on quality IMO
The best models are purchased models (in general) though MZ4250 on Printables models are free and also pretty high quality.
Personally I won’t pirate models of people in the 3D printing mini community as I want to support the creators in that space as they’re not giant megacorps.
