No, not unworthy at all. But there’s also a wide divide between asking questions and actually seeking to understand. It’s been my experience that many people have developed a questioning mechanism to mask/cover their embarrassment or willful ignorance, and those people don’t care at all to learn the root lesson, they simply want to “win” whatever they perceive as an argument. Winning the conflict is more important than learning the new information. And socially, that process becomes exceedingly tedious.

As the quote goes, “I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.”

Metaphors are hardly a new device. Anyone who knows how to read above an elementary school level should readily understand metaphors and similes.

The real silver lining of a zombie apocalypse, global EMP war, alien invasion, etc. is that humanity very quickly realizes column and row data just doesn’t fucking matter. The human condition deserves better than this hollow mimicry of work to which we’re being conditioned.
