You find it enjoyable? I regularly touch electric fences, but not because I want to but because I’m too stupid to think of another way to figure out if the thing is working. I find it to be the opposite of pleasant.

Thanks! I will certainly take a look at it some day. Is there also an equivalent book, but for general-purpose cooking?
That is something that often bothers me with many recipes. Often I’m confused why they are using a certain weird ingredient I don’t have access to or when they have a step that I don’t understand its purpose of and the recipe doesn’t explain its reasoning or its reasoning doesn’t make any sense. I then have to improvise without any idea if the changes I’m making will significantly impact the final result.
Only very few online recipes I see explain why they are written the way they are.
dive head first into pools
Do you mean with a scuba tank? What’s the problem if one dives in without a tank? Is the danger that they could decide to jump in from the shallow side?
To avoid stuff sticking to stainless steel, is the secret heating up the oily pan to a high temperature before adding the ingredients?
I think if they had said it was AI (and maybe also mentioned the comic it was inspired by), it would have been fine.
But I don’t want to choose my emojis based on the colour of my skin, I’d prefer to use something “neutral”, and while yellow as you said is not really neutral, it’s the closest thing we have to a neutral colour from all available options. I also don’t think unicode requires that the unmodified emoji be rendered as being yellow (correct me if I’m mistaken), and it’s probably apple and google who just decided that their fonts should render them as being yellow. I imagine one could with another font make them be magenta or some other color.
How does a cape help when riding a horse?
I never said that one or the other european country was or wasn’t involved, but consequences of an action aren’t limited to who enacts it or to who is acted upon. Some here in these comments mention terrorism. As an example of what I meant when I said “consequences stemming from the destabilization of the middle east by foregin interference”, I will mention the perception of Islam as a religion that endorses terrorism as some here in the comments did. Religious extremism has only become a problem due to foreign interference. One of the most well known groups, ISIS, only became as strong as they became due to the Iraq war.
Yet they somehow have to take in muslim “refugees” and destabilize their own country in the process.
I don’t know if you are expressing your disapproval of their immigration, but I feel like we shouldn’t put the two kinds of “destabilization” on equal levels. I’m sure the german and french natives can’t say they have anywhere near as many problems as the people arriving. I also must note a certain double standard here in that I don’t see anyone speaking against receiving ukrainian refugees, despite those countries not being blamed with what is happening in Ukraine.

How hot are you washing your dishes? Are we supposed to be washing them at really high temperatures?
So does that mean sourdough bread lasts longer?
I use SearXNG. It is a meta search engine so it use results from various other search engines and you can specify which with !
. It does the job for me.
If we cut out the context of that anecdote we get something resembling those weird recovered Sumerian jokes.
Maybe because Ukraine isn’t going to “win” any time soon or easily as you believe?
I’m a bit confused. What’s there to justify? Every country needs their birthrate to be within a certain margin and north Korea is no exception. Other countries have also enacted pronatalist policies.
I installed NoScript just a few days ago, because I’m forced to use a really weak computer that struggles to even browse the modern web. I feel like NoScript improved it a lot, and while quite a few websites broke (including lemmy) (but most will still display the content), I just set the ones that I need working to trusted, but the performance is still good (I should note I’m also using it in conjunction with an automatic tab discarter).
I however also don’t directly use Google. Both SearX and Yandex don’t need javascript, so I’m unaffected by these news, despite being a bit mad about it as a reflection of the direction the web is going as a whole.
