Also, librarians will usually be happy (if not delighted) to get you a book they don’t have on-hand. You’re not bothering them!
Well, now I want one.
Have you ever argued with a tired, hangry toddler? There’s no getting through to them, it’s all impulse and feeling, lashing out at everyone even if you’re trying to help them. I don’t know why that just came to my mind…
These people vote.
Based on my extensive knowledge of watching Breaking Bad, I’d say the answer is purity.
The event, organized by bar-owner Mark Fitzpatrick and held at Cecil D. Andrus Park across from the Idaho State Capitol […] Fitzpatrick reportedly rushed the stage and took the microphone from Hamrick and then got into a scuffle with another attendee[…]
“He sang a song with lyrics that go against our values.”
What a hate-filled loser. His “values” are discriminating against and hurting people who are different from him.
Your post was about a friend who’s “transracial” (your term), not trans in the sense that they identify as a different gender than the one they were assigned at birth. Plus, you use the term “trans” to refer to that identity like it’s a universally-accepted conclusion and just as accepted as the other use of trans. You also insult those who don’t agree with this, call them transphobic, and accuse anyone who disagrees of brigading (with no evidence). While not personally included in either group, my understanding is that this point of view is very controversial and could be considered offensive to people from one, both, or neither community. Again, no opinion on the content, but I believe that’s part of why it didn’t resonate with people reading it.
TLDR: It’s controversial because it’s controversial.
What, just because they’re making it clear it’s not “protect & serve”, but instead “us vs. them”?
It’s The Coward’s Swastika ". Pretty much anyone who flies it is racist and a bootlicker. They’re just afraid to fly the Nazi or Confederate flag…
I love lamp.
What does this even mean? Who would “check”, and why? It makes no sense. If someone says I signed for a delivery or agreed to a contract, I guess they’d confirm the existence of a signature before filing it away, if that’s what you mean… But again, if it wasn’t me, I could easily prove that signature doesn’t match my past signatures and dispute it with my bank or in court. To reiterate: a random delivery person won’t know what my signature looks like.
I’m sorry, but that’s a dumb argument. The presence of a signature doesn’t imply you accepted a shipment. Even if you know my name, you have no idea how I sign it. It’s trivial to prove a forged signature doesn’t match the one on my license, credit card, lease, etc…
Yeah, it should be made out of cardboard so it’s easier to move. Duh…
What are we looking at…?
EDIT: I can’t tell if this is a sandwich or not. Einstein’s slices them horizontally, then vertically like this. Honestly, it helps when eating the larger sandwiches while driving. If it’s not a sandwich, maybe they accidentally cut it vertically? (again, can’t tell if it’s also cut horizontally)
No offense, but McDonald’s is not a good example for your scenario.
if you’re out getting a coffee and a bagel as a 30 or 40 year old[…]
I do, and I am! And if I want a decent bagel and cup of coffee, McDonald’s will literally be the very last place I consider. (Well, most days it’s a breakfast burrito, but the point stands) McDonald’s is one of the greatest examples of enshittification because they pay their employees shit, they’re as expensive as a nearby restaurant where they prepare your meal from scratch by a chef, and the quality is terrible.
Personally, I did not come when RiF was dead. It was too sad…
This is exactly when and why I stopped using Reddit permanently and switched to Lemmy. If you run out of “Active” content here, try switching to “Hot”. And then “New”!
No, you’re right. I assumed they were renting because of the use of “apartment” and “moving out” vs “selling”. But as for relevance, they were showing valid concern for the possibility of a rodent infestation. What to do about it would be a logical next step, no?
