So the definition of literacy that they use for those stats is a super low bar. Like the bar is lying on the ground. The National Assessment of Adult Literacy defines literacy as “the ability to use printed and written information to function in society, to achieve one’s goals, and to develop one’s knowledge and potential.” That’s not a high bar to clear and the literacy rate, in the US at least, is still only about 80%.

I’ve lived in multiple 3rd floor walk-ups and I loved it (with a dog that had to go out regularly). If you have a physical limitation that prevents doing stairs it would be a nightmare and moving in and out isn’t great. Otherwise it’s really not bad, a tiny bit of exercise isn’t going to hurt an otherwise healthy adult.

DnD is definitely one of those hobbies where each table is different and (as long as no one is being hurt) none of them are wrong. The toxicity some people bring to the table can scare away newer people entirely and that sucks for everyone. Less DnD people means we all get to play less DnD.

Yes, there are areas of the US where those numbers are potentially real. Some of those houses will have multiple bedrooms, updated interiors, and land attached to them for less than 100k. Even if you’d normally need a CDL you might not need one on private property. Lots of manufacturing sites have “yard hostlers” that are not road legal and do not require a CDL to operate (in the US).
My point was that being arrested does not require a jury to release you unless you’ve been actually charged with something.
