Is it literally about sitting or more that you can’t be still? My dad has tried a bunch of walking treadmills etc while coding and nothing really worked well (hard to walk while you code, messed with his wrists) until he got this chair that basically just had pedals on it. Easier to cycle than to walk and his issues went away.
Also they’re very small!

I would also suggest something like a very bright Philips hue light (or other smart bulb). For me personally the bedside lamps can be problematic when sleeping sideways. And with smart bulbs you can just use whatever lamp you want.
I disagree, I’d get one if I could use it as a second monitor! Though if you can’t navigate in the “screen”, then it could be difficult. But yeah AR definitely would make things muuuch more interesting.
I was more thinking of it being like a heads up display you know? It wouldn’t be AR at that point sure, just a screen.

I don’t think Meta has the same idea of privacy than the people do. I mean, Meta having all the data hidden in their servers, being fed to AI and given to advertisement algorithms is privacy when the data is “anonymized” and held onto securely. Right?
I don’t think that this catches on. However, the second this is included with lenses that act as transparent screens for AR stuff, it’ll be flying off the shelves. No, not the very first model, not the second probably, but the one made by a large corporation that actually does it well.
Though tbh just the lenses / screens would do it, camera is just extra. So I actually think first they will get the lenses done and camera stuff ia added later when the rest is already commonly used.
Honestly, just go with Ubuntu. If there are any problems you can very easily find answers. Second option would be the get something Ubuntu based, like Mint and Pop OS. Being based in it basically means they take Ubuntu and modify a bit to their liking but at the core they’re Ubuntu, meaning that almost everything you find for Ubuntu will work for them.
You can always switch later to something else if you feel like it.
Something like docuwiki maybe, it looks like Wikipedia so everyone would immediately feel at home there.

The thing I dislike the most is not directly the cold, but it is the feeling that nobody is outside just for the sake of it and nobody is enjoying it. Like, when summer comes everything feels alive. Not just the nature but people, hiking, walking, doing picnics, hanging our, eating ice cream etc. People outside look like they’re enjoying life. But during winter? Fuck no. And everyone looks the same, oh look 10 people in thick as balls black / grey / dark winter coats who look like round blobs. A bit of a hyperbole but that’s how I always feel like.
And the darkness sucks. Fun to go to down when it is pitch black and it is again pitch black when you get back home.

I play with friends. It is out hang out time. That is the addictive part. I can’t play single player games at all, always get bored after couple of hours. Solo online games are pretty much the same.

People always mention nextcloud when it comes to syncing for e.g., Obsidian, but how do people use it with mobile? They never seem to actually use the local storage for anything, meaning you can’t map a local folder for use in the application (assuming it does not have the option to use cloud services). I know thay syncthing does use actual local folders, but doesn’t it use a fuck-ton of battery? I remember trying it a few years back and just could not due to it being a battery hog. Also tried the fork which helped but not by much.
I wish I could just use rsync but nooooo. Yes yes rooting is “possible”, which might just break shit or you need to use some masking to hide root from application to and jesus christ why the fuck is everything so annoyingly locked down god dammit. Rant over.
