No, well… Depends on the OS. I believe Android forks like Graphene and Calyx OS keep it to the bare minimum. If you have a Android phone, you can use a open source application called Scrambled Exif to remove exif data.
I imagine it’s just based on the camera app you’re using. Mine (GrapheneOS camera, lol) has an option to remove all EXIF data.
Wonder if we will see a resurgence in film photography for protests, etc.
I don’t get why for a protest? They’re usually public events, so if you’re identifiable you’re at risk. Let alone that, as the article states, it’s pretty easy to scrub metadata from digital files.
