Sorry if I struck a nerve, I was joking, but it is kind of the theme of the post…
If you want actual advice, I’ve found that some well executed tongue-play sets the mood and loosens things up quite nicely and maybe have some toys to play with ready as well. The reality is though that if it’s a hard line for your partner and they aren’t willing to compromise you’re in a tough spot.

Fair enough and sometimes that’s just life. I mostly commented that because of your “just the tip” comment because to me that speaks at least to a certain level of willingness but maybe a lack of preparation in the end. For someone who’s inexperienced it takes a LOT of warm up, like on the order of hours, to ensure it’s a pleasurable experience because in the end you need to be relaxed for it to feel good which can be tough if the sensations are new and you’re in pain.
